血圧上がる
動脈硬化を計る機械が、今日入りました。
早速試したところ、私の血管は十分柔らかく、たぶん３０代前半。
ところが、血圧は高い。
理由はいろいろ考えられますが、やはりストレスだと思います。
ストレスは、ハンス・セリエというカナダの生理学者が
ネイチャー誌に発表して、知られるようになりました。
最初、彼はストレスを、過剰適応症候群として紹介し、
後にストレス（物理学用語で「歪み」）という言葉を使うようになったわけです。
彼はとてもユニークな視点をもっていて、
病院に勤めているときに、病院にやってくる患者を見て、
「どうして、みんな病院に来る人は病人らしいんだろう？」なんて思ったんです。
病院に来るんだから、病院らしいに決まっていると凡人は思うのでしょうが、
彼はそうではなかった。
内科、外科、整形外科、どの科にかかっている患者も、みんな病人らしい。
それは、患者が病気になって、病人らしくなるのではなく、
もしかしたら、疲労困憊していて、その結果、感染したり、
怪我をしたりするのではないかという推測があったわけです。
そこで、彼はラットを使って、いろいろな実験をします。
その結果、あらゆる病気の７０％以上に、
ストレスが関係していることが証明されました。
つまり、疲れてしまって、免疫の低下や、注意の散漫などが起こるのだと。
仕事の締め切り、電話、嫌な上司、
これらはストレスではなく「ストレッサー」といいます。
それに適応するための心身の反応が、「ストレス」です。
それが頻繁に繰り返されると、ストレスのレベルが上がる。
その結果生じる、心身の変化、イライラや不安、肩のこり、目の疲れ。
これらは「ストレスサイン」と言われます。
最初は早期警告期、次に警告期、そしてバーンアウト（燃え尽きる）。
できるだけ、早期警告期に手を打った方がいいわけです。
それから、ストレッサーを遠ざける。
ストレッサー。

日本では真夏に夏バテ対策に油っこいものを食べますが、私の住む熱帯気候の国でもやはりそれは変わらず、いつも目にするローカル料理は油ギトギトのものばかりです。油が多い＝コレストロールが高い。と単純に言えますよね。おかげで、血中のコレステロールが高くなって最近かなり心配になってきました。もともと家系が高血圧傾向なので、一般の人よりもターゲットの数値が下がります。それで…体重を下げたい→カロリーを減らす→油料理を食べない→暑いのでバテる→カロリーのあるものを食べたい→太る→体重を下げたい→（最初に戻る）。運動も大切と聞きますが、運動も時間的に限られますし、年中暑いんで…そこが問題。やっぱり日本製の体は、改造できないんだろうかと思います。何かよい方法はないでしょうか。どなたかのアドバイスがほしいところです。あれ？こちらの人に聞けって？それはそうですけど…すみません。このテーマに投稿してみたかったんです、よろしくお願いします。（2月1日）
